Philip has had a passion for woodworking from an early age. At 12, he bought his first set of hand tools with his paperboy earnings. Philip learned later how to design and build furniture; doors, cabinets, and other useful items. His study of civil engineering technology with a concentration in building construction led him to diverse jobs such as bridge design and high rise building construction. Philip ultimately earned a Master’s Degree in Quality Systems Management leading to a career as a Quality Assurance Manager. From there, Philip returned to his first love of woodworking and established Ridder’s Custom Woodwork, LLC in May 2010. Through his company, Philip says he is able to add value to his clients’ projects by giving them options they didn’t know were possible.

Ridder’s Custom Woodwork offers handcrafted custom furniture, cabinets, built-ins, bars and mirrors, gifts, awards, memorials, and other custom items in Hamilton, NJ. Clients’ original concepts are made tangible by the company’s use of proven techniques, imagination, and skill. In addition, it employs the latest technologies and equipment such as computer-based (CNC) manufacturing to ensure that each item produced is truly unique to each and every client.
